While some WordPress plugins require minimal configuration and ongoing oversight, this is not the case with the All-In-One SEO Pack. If you don’t configure your settings properly, you could actually harm your rankings instead of boosting them. For example, the All-In-One SEO Pack enables you to set Home Title, Home Description and Home Keywords to help enhance your rankings. Leaving these blank or making poor choices for these settings can have a negative impact on your optimization results.
Another important step to remember, is enabling the plug-in in the first place. This is not as much of a no-brainer as you might think, since each update to the plug-in defaults to the disabled position, presumably to force you to review your settings to get the best results.
